GTCC Fall 2018

Anyone out there planning to apply for next fall? I'm just finished Developmental Psych and I'm registered for Bio 168, Chem 131, and CIS 110 in the fall. If I do well in these classes, I'm thinking I'll apply with approximately 42 points which I know is on the low side, but fingers crossed!

Who still needs to do the CNA class? I plan to register for the one that is posted 8/8.

Are you an alternate? I'm pretty sure I had 43 points and I didn't get iní ½í¸ž

She did tell me when I went for my MAR review that they like for you to have everything completed or will be completed before you start. I had to print off my schedule at Forsyth Tech to show I was finishing my last prerequisite and would be done before classes started.

Wow, competitive year!! In the past I've heard of 36-38 being the lowest.

I'm pretty sure I had 39 points and I just got word that I'm alternate #5! I'm hoping that those who are accepted elsewhere and decide not to go to GTCC will let them know ASAP so us alternates won't have to wait long to know our fates!

I accepted mine. I am still waiting to hear from Forsyth tech. They said letters would go out the end of this week or the beginning of next.

I talked to Angela yesterday and she said that this year there were 190 applicants, that's 40+ more than average. She said she expects to go 8-9 deep on the alternate list and confirmed as #5 I had 42 points. Super competitive year?

Wow well fingers crossed I'm alternate number 2. I just hate waiting longer I believe I had 43 points.

Keep the faith, y'all. You know several people are going to go elsewhere (I'm about to make a DCCC alternate very happy), and others will be unable to jump the admissions hoops! (Let's be real, a couple will fail the drug test hah!)

Looking forward to meeting EVERYONE on this thread (Yes Including LamChop and StellaBells!) on May 7!

I talked to Angela last week and she said she planned to call anyone who had been accepted but hadn't responded today. She said that then she would start down the list of alternates. However, I know the LPN program went to ranking today so unless she's got a clone, I don't see how she could possibly have time to do all this!
