GTC 2011?

Is anyone applying for Gwinnett Tech's Fall 2011 RN program? I submitted my application back in October (I really wanted to have enough time in case anything happened). I'm still waiting on the initial letter about the meeting for the entrance exam. Does anyone know when we're supposed to get that letter? I know the application due date wasn't too long ago (Jan. 15th) and with the snow, things are probably backed up a bit, but for some reason I thought we should already have word by now.

Actually asked Saadia and she confirmed. That is awesome news in my book. I am also thinking that everyone who is interviewed will prob get offered a spot because I am sure other people have applied to other programs and out of 60 I could see 10 declining. This is the only school I applied to so this is my one basket for all my eggs. lol. I know another girl stated she applied to GSU in our group.

yes olivia. they are picking 60 from 75+ applicans was what she said in the meeting. i also heard from other applicants at tuesdays interview that some people aren't showing up for their interviews. so the odds look really good.

Wow, yeah, that really raises the odds. I thought at the meeting they weren't entirely sure, which was why I was asking. There was someone in our group that didn't show up. There may have even been two, but I knew definitely this one because I had micro with him.

i wonder what they will do if they cant come up with 60 chairs from the interviews. will they have to go back and invite more people?

I am now nervous waiting but I have to say, I went in there so nervous and prepared for the worst. They were wonderful. All of the instructors were smiling and encouraging. I felt like they really wanted to give us a chance. I hope I get in because those instructors look like the type who want you to succeed! As a nursing student, its important to have instructors on your side. Thanks girls for getting all the low down on the program. I rely on my allnurses.com for insider information.

I was wondering that this afternoon, skizzal. I never really thought they wouldn't have enough, since it's so competitive. I'm sure they will in the end, but hearing about people not showing up does make me wonder. Especially if they are only interviewing 75 for 60 spots. Those odds are better than 60 for 40 spots.

I have some news.!! I have an interview on next friday

so u guys will prob be waiting till first week of may for final decisions (just guessing).

If it wasnt for this site I would have missed my opportunity.

any advice?? did they say final decisions will be my mail or email?

The professors who interviewed us told us we would know by the end of next week what the results were and we would be notified by email.

You have an interview NEXT Friday?!? Oh dear... well I guess that saved me a week of painful mailman and email stalking. Saadia said the last interviews were this friday
