Gtc nursing 2016

My name is Kimberly, and I am applying for the nursing program at Gwinnett Tech (Fall 2016). I wanted to start a thread to share the nerve racking process with. It is so scary! Also, how's everyone feeling about their Kaplan and GPA? I am extremely nervous about my Kaplan score.

Yes. I applied with a 79 on the Kaplan. I was notified that I was one of the first alternates but no one declined their application. I'm hoping that making a 91 on the Kaplan this year will get me in, but still so nervous.

I'm sure this is the year, 4.0 and 91 setting the bar. I am in agony until February. I got an 89 on Kaplan, last year cutoff was 85 for 2 with my gpa.

70 is only the minimum to apply. It has been raised to 75. They're not even looking at you if you have below 85. I speak from experience. I'm trying again for fall 2017.

Waiting for February honestly feels like torture!!!

Torture was last year being in Human Pathophysiology and having all my (awesome ) classmates get in while I knew I didn't. I can't even believe how much my Kaplan improved. Ms. Jackson doesn't even work there anymore so I feel like I don't have anyone (staff) in my corner.

I know, most of my classmates got in as well. But your kaplan score is great! I'm sure this is your year to shine! That's how I feel too, with Mrs Jackson being gone! She was such a big help! Is there anyone that took her place? I don't even know who to email with questions.

Same here, technically I guess we could start checking Banner. Next they will send a letter saying thank you for applying.
