I submitted my application for Georgia State University's nursing school last week. I thought I would start a new thread for everyone that is applying for the spring. I know that I will be checking my mail box religiously over the next few weeks!
I got into the ACE program fellows. Apparently I had received the letter about Saturday but I happen to check my mail this Sunday for some odd reason. I want to thank everyone here for the supportive messages and wishes up until this very moment. To all those still waiting,I wish you all the best.Thank you...
The truth is, I had almost given up and a few days ago, I actually found myself calling some other schools to check on their requirements so that I don't get stranded come spring.I see you got jokes ysosa1, I was actually scared of what the mailbox might reveal and my roommate's credit card bills are keeping him away from the mail box so, someone had to made the ultimate sacrifice of checking the box and you guessed it.Anyway, thank you again and best of luck to all those still waiting.
Congrats to everyone who's gotten their letters so far!
I've started putting together my 'plan B'. If its taking this long, there must have been something in my application that they didn't like. Maybe they consider me a 'risk' since I'm still completing so many pre-reqs (6 courses, 20 credits to be exact). But you'd think that a 3.5 GPA, 93 on the NET and a previous engineering degree would balance that out. Anyway, hopefully all the worry is for nothing, but now that pretty much everyone I know has received some sort of letter its hard to be patient.
I do know that they've started sending out rejection letters, luckily I haven't received one of those though.
Unfortunately I was right. I went to the nursing office this afternoon and was told my application was denied. I needed the points from the classes that I am currently taking, I didn't even have a shot. I wish they would have told me that beforehand... I'm probably going to apply to Kennesaw and GSU for the fall semester. In the mean time looks like I've got plenty of time to increase my volunteer hours and travel with my husband on his business trips.
I wish you all the best of luck in the spring!
Bdanders,
I am so surprised that you didn't get in. It must just be a rule about the number of outstanding credits. I hope that you still consider going to GSU in the fall and we can see you then.
Ysosa-It took about 10 days or so before I was able to register. No email or anything. I tried it Sunday night and it allowed me to register.
****** and krichy-congratulations! looking forward to meeting you guys in the ACE program on Jan 8th. We should all get together and say hello.
