Bdanders, I am so surprised that you didn't get in. It must just be a rule about the number of outstanding credits. I hope that you still consider going to GSU in the fall and we can see you then. Ysosa-It took about 10 days or so before I was able to register. No email or anything. I went to Emory for my masters in public health and my fiancee got his PA degree there. Both of us loved it. It is very expensive but you get what you pay for. I took a few classes in the nursing school there and was very pleased. I would also consider GA state, I am getting my BSN there(as a second degree student) in 16 months. It is a very competitive program and well regarded. I am not sure what type of MSN you are pursuing but I would look there as well. It is downtown but there are trains from most suburbs that go straight into GA state. With regards to Emory, it is a very safe area but not as inexpensive as other suburbs. The salaries at Emory are very competitive, the other hospitals you may want to look at depending on your specialty are St. Joseph's, Northside, CHOA, Piedmont. I would assume most of them reimburse for MSN. What specialty are you pursuing?

The packet included the letter, a form to accept the slot, the nursing school policies and procedures to be signed and returned, info about orientation(jan 8th), the classes for january etc. Basically just the checklist for what needs to be done before January, including completion of prerequisites. I did submit mine early, it was in by late August.

Hi Bdanders I got into the accelerated program. I think we are in the same HHS 3000 class, we were talking about the admissions this week. I have no idea how many letters got sent out. The package did say that we were to submit our decision by November 13th so I guess they will make most of their decisions by then. My GPA was a 3.9 and my NET was a 94. Hope this helps. Hey everyone, Just wanted to let you know that some of the letters went out on Wednesday. Got mine yesterday. Hope all of you guys get in and we can all be starting together!! Am very excited and nervous about it! Let me know as soon as you guys find out!
