U.S.A. Georgia

Not sure if there's one of these started already, but it's still pretty far off, so I thought I'd make one. Have any of you guys taken the TEAS yet? If not, where are you taking it? I didn't see any dates listed for GSU.

Good luck to both of you! Great stats, Troop! :)

As of tomorrow, all of the apps are in! It's so crazy to think about. I'm.... already going slightly insane waiting to hear.

breezy, I made a promise to myself not to obsess over the mailbox for the next 2 months! Besides, all I usually get are bills and junk mail anyway.:lol2: At least we have school to keep our minds occupied. I'm a "glass is half full" person anyway, so I think we all have a great shot. The important thing to remember is, we all REALLY want to be nurses, so no matter what, we can't let some committee of folks at GSU hold us back from that goal. There's lots of other places to get a nursing degree. :yelclap:

I AM SO NERVOUS!

I don't know how I will survive this month. They make decisions every wednesday and mail out the letters so I'll be on my toes at the end of every week.

Hey gsuhopeful. great stats! im sure you'll get in. What were your science grades?

hey breezy7, im sure you'll get in too! what were your science grades?

Hey svictor are you applying for fall 2012 as well? I've only taken two of my science courses so far but I received an A+ in chemistry and an A- in A&P.

Does anyone have any other info about the process? It's definitely helpful to know that they mail out decisions every week!!

I wish I knew more! I'm glad school starts tomorrow so they can start making more decisions! I'm sooo nervous, I feel like I'm going to get waitlisted or rejected :/

hey guys. i was actually accepted to the ACE program last year (spring 2011). i had a hardship withdrawal at the end of my first semester that didnt get approved so now i have to apply again to get back in. if it helps, last year i got in with a 3.7 program gpa and an 88 on my teas. i was accepted in the 2nd or 3rd week. They use the first week after the deadline (this upcoming week) to go through all the packets and determine which ones are complete and which ones arent so they can inform people that their packets are incomplete & stuff. They also use this week to recieve the rest of incoming apps that may have been mailed and receive teas scores from ati. Also this is when they calculate all your grades and put them into the system. The second week is when they start making decisions based on who has the highest credentials on their apps (gpa, teas, essay, etc.) Then they go lower and lower till all the spots are filled. I have friends with 3.5's that have gotten in so its all about who your competition is for that semester. Think about it, they choose 72 ppl out of almost 300. thats almost 1/3. That means the only way you wouldnt get in is if 71 other ppl had higher gpa & teas scores than you. which is actually not too likely with you guys' grades. And only like 20 ppl last semester had a teas score of 90 or higher. So usually if u get a letter the 2nd or 3rd week, its either because you're part of the top apps, or youve been automatically rejected (for having missing application materials, didnt meet gpa requirement, didnt complete pre-requisites, etc.) So hold on tight guys. By the looks of your numbers, im sure you'll get in!

svictor, thank you so much for the additional information. I really feel terribly that you have to go through this whole agonizing process AGAIN! If I had any say, you'd be able to jump right back in. I hope all is well on your end now, and I'm confident that you'll be back in fold for Fall 2012. Like you, I really feel like all of us have a great shot of getting in, so try not to stress about it too much guys.:loveya:

It would be so cool to meet all of you in the fall!

I'm so sorry svictor thats terrible! Thanks for all the information. It makes me feel less anxious. Will you be doing ACE again or traditional?
