I couldn't find another thread for GSU fall 2014 so I wanted to create one and hopefully meet all the applicants. Is anyone else as nervous as I am and when should we be expecting those letters?

Hi :) I applied for the Fall 2014 ACE program. Haven't been able to find activity on this site for GSU Fall 2014...lots for Fall 2013 and Spring 2014. Reading those posts and the timelines from application deadline to the first posts about receiving acceptance letters, looks like we could possibly hear something the first few weeks of April...but that's just extrapolating

Nice to meet you!! :) I also applied to the ACE program and I'm dying to find out if I got in or not. Have you applied to any other programs?
Hello :) I applied to GPC and just found out I was accepted - which is good news. If I don't get into the GSU ACE program, I'm not sure what I will do - maybe apply to Kennesaw and then GSU again, for Spring 2015 or enroll at GPC and then do RN to BSN while working. Is GSU your 1st choice?

I also applied for Fall. It was kind of a last minute decision, but I'll see what happens. I'm not too concerned since I have already been accepted to 2 other schools and I only applied to GSU as a backup.
Hi Meep :) congrats on your acceptances, thats great. Keep us updated if you hear anything from GSU
Will do, I'm curious to see if I got in. I am also waiting to hear back from my current school. Waiting is the worst!!
Congrats on your acceptances!! If you guys don't mind me asking what were your stats. I had a 3.74 gpa with a 90.7 on the teas. Im taking Anatomy 2 and Chem 2 this semester so I'm still working on those.

Good luck, guys! I remember this time well.
I scored a 95.3 on the teas but don't know my gradepoint which makes me nervous. They will determine my program GPA from my previous degree, choosing classes to fit the pre-reqs for the ACE program, unfortunately I dont have all As. I was missing a few science classes/some too old so had to take some classes. I have been doing great in those - all As last semester in API+lab and Chem I+lab and am on track to have all As again this semester. At the information system I attended last year they shared the following acceptance formula:
They give up to 12 points for grades (program GPA not overall)
4.0+-12
3.9-3.99-11 pts
3.8-3.89-10 pts
3.7-3.79-9 pts
3.6-3.69-8 pts
3.5-3.59-7 pts
3.4 -3.49 – 6 pts
3.3 – 3.39 – 5 pts
Up to 10 points for TEAS
95+ - 10 pts
90-94 - 9 pts
80-89 - 8 pts
70-70 - 7 pts
etc.
Science GPA calculated by: 2 pts for every 'A' earned in a a science course, 1 point for every 'B'. Add up the points then divide by how many science classes taken. For example, if someone's grades are A&P1-A (2 pts), Chem1-A (2 pts), Micro-A (2 pts) = 2+2+2 = 6 pts. Then 6 pts (divided by) 3 courses taken = 2 pts
Up to 1 pt for essay
Up to 1 pt for each recommendation for a total of 2 points
1 point for being a current GSU student
I only scored in the 80s on the TEAS, but my program GPA is 4.0, and my recommendations are outstanding, so I am hoping that helps along with everything else.
