Grossmont Fall 2018 Cohort

Published

Is the right place for the topic? I tried to search for an existing thread but couldn't find it.

I'm hoping to meet other applicants for the Fall 2018 ADN program at Grossmont. I just finished my TEAS (92%) with an estimated 83-85 points overall. Let's get to know each other!

i would not be surprised if they never reply to your email.

Right there with you. I expected a well-known nursing program such as Grossmont to behave more professionally.

Yeah that's sad.. even SDSU admissions responds to emails regarding any application questions and they are quick.

Have you guys gotten accepted anywhere else or are you still waiting to hear back?

I should hear back from WGU in the next month, and will give up my seat at Grossmont if admitted. Those are the only two schools to which I applied.

I got accepted to Roseman university's Accelerated BSN, I'm on SDSU's waitlist, and I'm pretty sure I got into saddlebacks... but I kinda wanted to go to grossmont and do their bridge program to get my bsn..

I like the ADN because I can get my license in two years and start working while I finish my BSN through a hybrid program. But if I had the option to do the BSN in the same amount of time and have a better chance of getting hired, I don't know? The accelerated is hard because it's a lot of work in a short amount of time.

Yeah I'm really leaning away from the accelerated. You also have to get a 90% on every test.. anything under is considered a no pass and two no passes gets you dropped from the program. I just got the email I was not chosen for grossmont nursing program.. I had 82 points so I am really confused on how people with lower points than me got in..

Yeah, I got the same email. I'm super confused too.

Got the same email.

I also got a denial letter. I was around 78-80 points. Still waiting on a response from SWC and Palomar.

sorry to hear you guys did not make it, that is soo confusing. have not gotten anything yet. probably the email will be coming through in the next few hrs. you were are all qualified for it though, but we will all get our time sooner or later

Thank you for your positivity. It did say in the email that applicants who weren't accepted may still have a chance to get in if not all spots are filled and that they will be in touch if that's the case. Didn't say anything about being an alternate though, and it specifically said to NOT call about your application status lol. I feel so out of the loop :/ I would at least like to know what my points were so that I may improve for the next application process. Staying positive though!
