Grossmont Fall 2018 Cohort

Is the right place for the topic? I tried to search for an existing thread but couldn't find it.

I'm hoping to meet other applicants for the Fall 2018 ADN program at Grossmont. I just finished my TEAS (92%) with an estimated 83-85 points overall. Let's get to know each other!

Thank you for your positivity. It did say in the email that applicants who weren't accepted may still have a chance to get in if not all spots are filled and that they will be in touch if that's the case. Didn't say anything about being an alternate though, and it specifically said to NOT call about your application status lol. I feel so out of the loop :/ I would at least like to know what my points were so that I may improve for the next application process. Staying positive though!

Yeah I asked what my points were before hat email because I had a question and she just said "we do not share points with applicants" . I wish they could just let us know where we stand. Good luck to you

I got the rejection email to, but I believe my points were much lower so it makes sense. Those of you that didn't get in and had points in the 80's is what confuses me!! I am feeling a little hopeless :( I guess I will retake one of my anatomy classes this summer if they offer that, and retake the TEAS and try to apply again this fall. Congratulations to all that made it!!!

I got my denial today. I had no supplemental points. All of my stuff was straight forward so I know for a fact that I have 80 points. Everyone reassured me this would be enough. Now I'm stuck with all of these stupid prerequisites that I can't do a thing with. I guess best of luck to everyone that got in. I'll be finding a bridge...

Same here got the denial email. My stuff was straight forward too with about 85 points for sure. Have no clue what's going on. I thought it was gonna be a preety straight fair game as they make it seem, but it is obviously not that way. Pretty disappointed.

right there with you ...obviously there is other criteria going into how they are selecting applicants which seems unfair.

It will be your time to be accepted somewhere soon. You were more than eligible to be accepted. I know how you feel and it sucks :/

I know it's really disappointing and i was honestly pretty devastated when I got the email because I didn't get in to any other schools this round, but I'm just going to reapply this fall and see what happens. The way that they have handled this has been disappointing, but they obviously don't know what they're missing by not accepting us! After this experience, it's made me wonder if that's a program I would even want to go to anyway.

Do you guys have clean social media/ internet presence? That's one of the things I think a lot of people don't realize that schools sometimes look at.

I only have one social media, but other than posts about my dogs, exercising and Disneyland lol there's not much to look at. Im preety good at not getting involved with social media stuff.

I just have lots of pictures of my kids....so unless they don't like kids...lol

I didn't get in either guys. It was a huge let down. Hopefully the next go-around will have a much better outcome for us. They must've had some extremely competitive folks apply for this cohort, that's all I can chalk it up to.
