Grossmont Community College Fall 2024

Hi all!

I applied to Grossmont's nursing program for Fall 2024. I wanted to start a topic to connect with others that have applied as well! I believe I have 86-90 points which makes me super nervous but I have my fingers crossed! How is everyone else feeling?

It was something silly, like the wrong degree was posted. Once it was resolved, they said that I needed a different psych class, despite 2 counselors clearing me and all the prereqs. So it was just really frustrating. 
 

sorry LOL, but congrats to you! I'm sure it will be great. I just wasn't willing to risk it. I have not met them yet, but I look forward to it!

I also accepted San Diego City College, I was in the prep course with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME)! Haha I'm not sure who you are in class but I literally am in the same boat as you. I hope I can reach out to you because I really felt defeated when Grossmont did that to me.

OMG, well I feel better knowing it wasn't just me, but I'm so sorry it happened to you also!! I'm not sure how to exchange info on here LOL but I'd love to talk to you!!

Oh gosh I didn't know how common this was! Now I'm paranoid LOL. What was the error on yours? I just need to know all that I can before submitting my official transcripts. I took all of my prerequisites through Grossmont and Cuyamaca so I'm hoping since it's their own program, it won't be a problem. Fingers crossed, now I'm stressed LOL.

If you accepted your seat and sent over your official transcripts already, have you heard back for your official acceptance yet?

No just my post acceptance checklist. My friend also accepted her seat and hasn't received the official acceptance.

I freaked out reading about the people who got in and then got rejected. I decided to also accept the seat at SWC since I took all my prerequisites there. So once everyone is back from Spring break my seat will be available to someone on the alternate list for Grossmont. : )

Anyone heard anything yet?  I had my appt with the AHN counselor yesterday but haven't heard of officially being accepted.  Getting nervous over here with the silence.

What did you go over with the counselor? The counselor can't see wether or not we're good to go? Radio silence here too. I tried to do the and it's too soon to start coverage in august.

I haven't heard anything either! I just recently submitted the majority of my checklist items and have my counseling apt this week.

Cassi,  the counselor just goes over your transcripts to make sure you have everything needed for your nursing degree and that there are no other courses needed.  She didn't have access to the nursing department so she was unable to tell me how everything is looking on that end.
