Grossmont Community College Fall 2024

Hi all!

I applied to Grossmont's nursing program for Fall 2024. I wanted to start a topic to connect with others that have applied as well! I believe I have 86-90 points which makes me super nervous but I have my fingers crossed! How is everyone else feeling?

Did anyone else apply to Palomar? I noticed that the Palomar admission decisions are given at may, which doesn't align with Grossmont's accept/decline offer to join the program🤔

They actually will release them mid March that's what the email said when I submitted my application. So hopefully next week.

I applied to Palomar and yes that is true . Hopefully they send their decision sooner

Truly, I don't know. I could have anywhere from 89-92 if they count everything. They didn't email me for verification on anything like they did with my first app, so I'm assuming they counted everything. 
 

I can't find out how to track my app to see my final score... if that's even possible? I'm not sure. If there's a way to see, let me know so I can be sure to give an accurate score!

Hi all!

I got an email that I was put on the alternate list last Friday.  A little discouraged but looking at other threads, there definitely have been some success stories.  Does anyone have any insight or was anyone else placed on it? If so, with how many points?

Hi!! I was also placed on the list. I have 87 points total. I have seen that some people with the same amount of points were accepted but also some got denied? At this point I am not sure what they are paying attention to.

I noticed that as well. I think I applied with 86.  I saw some people with a provisional acceptance with 87 so I was a bit confused.  Maybe they are looking at experience/allied health certificate, etc.  Do you have any of those? I have years of patient care experience but I accidently let me CNA license expire 😕

I have been working at a hospital for the last 3 years and do have a CNA license. It is all pretty confusing ☹️
