Grossmont College Spring 2025 (San Diego)

Published

Hi everyone! I'm starting a thread for Grossmont College's Spring 2025 admission. I've submitted my application and my stats are as follows: 94.0 TEAS; 4.0 GPA, which make 91 base points. I'm not sure if my language or personal statements will be accepted so I am at 91 points flat.

Looking forward to connecting with you all!

They replied to me about the transcripts. They said we will know before orientation but we do our best lift academic provisional acceptances as soon as possible.

I checked other cohorts on here from the last few years and it seems like the provisional acceptances were lifted a month to 6 weeks after the initial acceptance though.

You are a saint. Please keep us posted!

yeah I'm not in a hurry to get insurance yet LOL. I have my BLS cert so I don't have to worry about that thankfully.

We're almost there! How old is everyone? I'm 36 and a male nurse. Mid-life career change 😅. I'm OLD!

36 here too LOL! I'm also married and have 2 kids. I've wanted to be a nurse for a very long time but life kept getting in the way. So thrilled to finally be taking this step!

20 here. You're not old at all haha, just more experienced. And that experience will prove very valuable in the program. What are you switching careers from?

Awesome - looking forward to meeting you! I'm coming from classical music. I'm a professional musician. Rewarding but very unstable career🫠

Oh god it will be a while before we can actually relax 😭

Good morning everyone! I guess I will be the grandma here LOL I'm 45 🫠 but lots of people say that I look 35 😃 I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!! Happy Friday!!

It took me a while to realize that it's never too late to follow your dreams!

I am 27! Used to want to become a doctor, and I'm an EMT! I applied to City as well :), although their application I felt was completely differently than what I expected.

Darn, I was going to wait to do stuff until the provisional acceptance was lifted, I guess I will get a jump start on my vaccines and TB test LOL.

Has anyone on the alternate list heard back yet?

I haven't heard back yet. But I believe those who got accepted have until Sept 15 to accept their spots. So I'm hoping to get some good message after that 🙏🏼

My best friend got waitlisted!  She had around the same points as I did:(, but she's an alternate. My guess is that even those with high 80 were mostly put on the waitlist. Super competitive this semester!!

Hello! Have y'all done the onboarding stuff yet? I just did titers for my vaccines! I tried to schedule an appointment with the counselor but I didn't realize she is only available two days, only one online.. To clarify, we need one appointment between the two dates mentioned and a follow up appointment after correct?
