  1. Yeah I just did it today using one of the links they provided. The provider I chose auto recommended 1mil/6mil for $28/yr or so. Dirt cheap. The email said 1/3mil is the minimum acceptable coverage, so 1/6 should be good.
  2. Congrats, you two! Maybe in a little bit someone can make a breakroom so that we can keep in contact but privately. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone at orientation.
  3. In case anyone is trying to schedule a second appointment with [MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME], I found it's best to call counseling and schedule it over the phone. Her name wasn't showing up when I tried to make an appointment online. Meeting with her tomorrow!
  4. Nothing yet! I'm hoping we'll get that soon since we're all being notified that our transcript evaluation is complete. Fingers crossed!
  5. It's really low-key. The counselor is really sweet and she is thorough in going through next steps. Together you will go over the courses you'll take through the next four semesters and also go over transcripts and classes you've taken previously. You don't have to have anything prepared for this ?
  6. The waiting is killing me too! I met with the counselor last week and she assured me that everything looked good but not having full acceptance yet is so nerve racking!
  7. Congrats everyone! I got an acceptance however I have already committed to Grossmont College.
  8. The interviewer asked me five questions from a list containing many questions in different categories. Here was my experience. Expect to be asked why you want to be a nurse - I think that's an obvious question to expect. I was asked why specifically National University over other institutions. I got a question about the importance of diversity in the workplace, so I asked as it relates to the practitioner, or the patients? The interviewer liked that I asked that and clarified that it could be either or both. How will you handle the rigor of such a fast-paced program? And finally, a question asking you to explain a time where you were wrong and had to admit or accept you were wrong and how you learned from that. Your mileage may vary, but these were the questions I was asked. I suspect everyone gets a variation of questions along these same themes. Good luck!
  9. Yes, I believe that is correct; one initial meeting, and one following that, though it doesn't say how long after the first. I guess that would be a question to ask the counselor during the meeting! I've also begun working through the immunizations sheet.
  10. Never too late! I applied to City, as well as Palomar.
  11. Awesome - looking forward to meeting you! I'm coming from classical music. I'm a professional musician. Rewarding but very unstable career? Oh god it will be a while before we can actually relax ?
  12. You are a saint. Please keep us posted! yeah I'm not in a hurry to get insurance yet LOL. I have my BLS cert so I don't have to worry about that thankfully. We're almost there! How old is everyone? I'm 36 and a male nurse. Mid-life career change ?. I'm OLD!
