grossmont &/or city college waiting list

U.S.A. California

this will be my second year on the waiting list for the ADN program at grossmont college... when i submitted my application, the school TOLD me it'd be two years, but everyone i talked to said it would be more likely one year, so i assumed that i'd get in this past fall... but, no. :(

so my question is: is anyone else still waiting on the grossmont waiting list? or if you already got in, how long did you wait? is the city college waiting list any shorter?

wow, i thought that final was umm....not like the class objectives. I really was hoping to keep my A.

the final was NOTHING like the powerpoints or class objectives. our class was so angry after it was over... but our grades were posted yesterday afternoon & somehow no one that i know of has failed yet.

i feel like i got a lot of it wrong. a lot!

ME TOO! the test was so horrible that i wasn't sure if i was even going to be able to pull a 50-something% on the test to be able to pass the class, but somehow i pulled an A on the test. when did you take your final? ours was yesterday morning & our grades were posted by 3pm, so yours might be up too? good luck to you! i'm sure you did better than you felt like you did.

wow you did great! congrats!!!

We took it last night at 530. We get our scores on Thursday.

I got a B on the final and kept my A in the class!!! Thanks Puresass your post made me feel better this afternoon i was a wreck.

They are only sending 1 night and weekend class thru at a time. the next class will be for 2009 right after my class graduates, so I hear. I really like the night and weekend program it suits me. The class schedule is very predictable. I'm a night owl. I will definitely be a night nurse.

GOOD JOB!!

& that's so weird about the one-night/weekend-class-at-a-time thing!

Does anyone know if city college has a lvn program, cause I know southwestern does?

I've heard that City started an LVN program. The surest way to know is call and find out. :)

Did anyone start the RN program for Grossmont Spring '08? I always look forward to any news about people starting up. I've been on the waitlist for 18 months (Since summer '06).

How long did you wait? When did they notify you? Are you enjoying it?

geez i'm actually so relieved to hear everyone else has been waiting the same amount I have been waiting. Its been dreadful. Grossmont drives me insane because they do not give those interest letters or even tell you that you are on the list still. At least City gives the courtesy and I think that weeds out people. Well best of luck to all and i will definitely be on this website to get the updates.

I was just looking at the course schedule for Grossmont. I noticed that class limit for NURS 120 night/weekend section (which appears to be for the Welcome Back Program) has been increased to 20, but there are only 3 people enrolled so far.

Anybody hear if they will be taking new "never-been-an-RN" nursing students in that section?
