Congratulations ladies on the great accomplishment! I was also in last years class, I'm waiting to take the boards as well, they're scheduled for tomorrow! Just remember, keep at it, do your reading every night, and it will all be worth it in the end! Good luck to you all! :)

Hey First! Congrats on getting through the program and good luck with the boards tomorrow! Were you in the day program or the night? What was the average age of the other students and was it easy to become friends with others in the class?

Thank you! I was in days, and our ages varied greatly, some as young as 18, and up to a handful who were middle aged. We were very supportive of each other and assisted each other throughout the program, and as a result we only lost a few throughout the program. Spending so much time together day in and day out you will be surprised how close you become with your fellow classmates! :)

First....YAY we made it - how was the NCLEX? I am taking mine next week and I am scared to death!

Irish & Lola.....be prepared for the hardest year of your life! If I have any advice the most important would

be to do as well as you can on the exams in the beginning of each term, that way you wont be so

stressed out at the end of the term having to get a 90 or something in order to pass the class. Also, if

you need help please verbalize it - study groups are a godsend as long as you find the right people to

study with. Good Luck!

Hi, any ideas on what i need to do? I dont know anything about the course or exams i need to do to get into Greater Lowell, any help will be appreciated :), and btw Congratulations

Thanks Wonderfulnursing! Now as far as the program goes do you have any previous college courses such as Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition or growth and development?? You arent required to have taken the courses but it will be helpful with the course load since you wont have to take them at school. Also I see that you are a CNA which is great because they tend to accept people who are already in the health field. For the entrance test I believe they are using the TEAS now which contains math, reading comprehension and some science. They used the NET (Nursing Entrance Exam) with our class. You can find some websites to help you study for that or buy a study guide book. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask them :)

Ladicapricorn, Thank you so much for getting back to me, i just stopped taking courses at mcc because i thought it wouldn't help, but now i know. I will try to get the Teas Study book for the Entrance Exam. About the web sites to help study for it, any that you would recommend? :)

Hey I was just wondering if you remember what the essay question you got was? I am going to try and take the test next month and I just wanted to see if you remembered your topic? I think it would help to have an idea of what type of essay questions they ask. If you could let me know the would be great! Thanks
