From what I have heard from former students is it can be tough, But what nursing school isn’t,
I recently graduated from NCTC and plan to do Grayson’s transition to RN, just down the road, taking my pre-regs now at Van Alstyne
NCTC is starting a hybrid online / clinical LVN to RN program also,
Some things I would suggest would be to
Gets a group going with your class mates, those who try to go it alone, often fail
Call the Texas work force, 75% of my class had their costs covered by them , tuition , books , tests , scrubs , shoes ,car repairs , mileage to and from school and clinical, and much more.
75% of the battle is persevering and enduring to the end and not giving up
Good luck
I have applied to the RN programs fall of 09 for Grayson. I have heard its very hard to get into with as many as 300 applying and only accepting 60!!! Its so stressful Ive got my HESI and application all turned in now its just a wait and see June seems so far off.. Are you applying to RN and LVN to double your chances?

Hi! I'm new to the boards but I was just wondering a little about the LVN program at Grayson. I'm applying for fall 09 and I'm honestly VERY nervous! I know it's competitive and I plan to work my butt off. I've heard some scary info about how hard it is to get in and all that. If anyone has any info about the process or what it's like I'd love to know!
Thanks.
