Grayson Fall 2018 Hopefuls

Published

Hey guys. The deadline to apply for Fall 18 is in a few days. If you are applying to the Lvn bridge program or regular track, please leave a comment with your stats. I will be applying with 21-22 points, Hesi score-88. My points are a little low but i refuse to retake those science classes, no maam. I do plan on retaking the Hesi next week before the deadline.

I also applied for fall 18, hopefully if I make A in microbiology I should have 23 or 24 points. Hoping that will get me in.

It's officially May and I'm getting nervous!

I talked to the nursing program about a month ago and they said they would start looking at the applications in mid June and would notify us by the end of June. So ready to know something! Good luck to all of us!

Hey everyone I'm applying to the Fall 2018 LVN to RN bridge program with 21-23 points. Pretty low compared to you all! I've been watching this post for a while and decided to create an account. It's definitely getting close! I really hope we all get in!

The end of June seems so far away! Did she mention how many applicants there were?

Oh my goodness... the END of June?!?!?! That doesn't give us much time to plan and save for all the expenses. I just wish they would hurry and decide.

Did anyone apply elsewhere and already get their letter?

Did anyone apply elsewhere and already get their letter? Not to mention, I work in a hospital and we are already self-scheduling out to AUGUST 5! I kind of need to know so I know how to plan my work schedule. LOL:facepalm:

If anyone gets an acceptance email post here! I read on the Grayson College Facebook some students received acceptance between June 7-14 in previous years. Fingers crossed we all hear something soon!

She did not tell me how many applicants, but I'm checking my email every 5 minutes! Hurry up already!

Same here! The waiting is the worst.

I am currently a Nursing student at Grayson. When I got in for the Fall 2017, I got my email the 12th of June. I had 26 points. There were about 10 to 15 people on the waiting list and they all were accepted at orientation. The instructors took more students than they had intended to be able to get the last couple of wait listers that remained. So, even if you get wait listed the odds are high you'll be accepted. Also, if in any way possible, try to buy your books from the book store or publishers website in the set. You will save money and have access to all the online resources. Another huge tip, PRE-ORDER your books ASAP. My first semester several folks went without books for weeks. Thankfully I preordered mine. Hopefully you guys hear something soon! Please lmk if ya'll have any questions! I know how overwhelming the beginning of nursing school is and don't mind shedding some light!

Thank you so much for all the information! Do you know how many points the waitlisted people had? I have 25 and even though they made it sound positive I'm still scared it wasn't enough...
