Whew! Took the GCU HESI exam today and did good! What a relief to have this part over with! Now I'm getting excited that nursing school could be a reality in the near future, hopefully fall 2016 (4 months away?) Started the pre req process just about 3 years ago now. Anyone else applying to GCU's fall cohort?? Since the application deadline is May 15th we should find out early to mid June if we were accepted

I am applying for this fall too! Did you apply for the fast track option?

I have been at GCU for 2 years now. I applied for fall also! I have chosen the main campus fastrack if I get accepted! They say we should know by June 15th but I check my Nursing report everyday just to make sure I am not missing anything. Lol

I applied for Fall 2016. I am super nervous as we should be finding out within 5 days! I just transferred from another college, so I am nervous about what tier I am in since I did not do my pre-reqs at GCU. However, I have a 3.95 GPA, and a really good HESI A2 score. I am going for the fast track program at St. Joes.
We are supposed to get an email from them, but is there also another place we can view the results at?
Hopefully we all get in!
Surfinandnursin I heard months ago they closed the St. Joes campus. All they have left is Boswell, Scottsdale and main. But maybe they decided to keep that campus. Good luck!
St. Joes is still open.
I made sure that I double and triple check since there were so many issues last year! I am so nervous. I just want to find out already!!!! I keep checking my email. lol
Good luck to you also :)
Where is this "Nursing Report" located? Is it in the student portal under "Academics" then "Nursing Students?"
So with all the anxiety I have about this acceptance letter, I have a question maybe one of you all can answer.
I am a transfer student. However, I DID attend GCU this summer and took 12 credits with them. This makes me have an established GPA with GCU. Does that make my chances at getting accepted better than just coming straight in from my other college?
I took CWV-301, Nutrition and STATS (Which I didn't need to take for Nursing at my other school) this summer.
My HESI scores were an average of 92, and my GPA is greater than 3.9.
I was accepted into Chamberlain, but decided that having 50 grand in debt for a BSN wasn't worth it. I am older than most, and just want to get this done though.
My SSA and my transfer advisor said I had a high chance at getting in with my HESI scores and GPA. But after reading a bunch of stuff from last year, my stomach is in knots.
You are still considered a transfer student which puts you in tier 3 but I wouldn't worry. My friend was in tier 3 and she got accepted into the spring. Your grades are great so I would think you would be fine.
Guys!
Just thought I would update everyone. It is the 15th today, and I heard from the Nursing department that we WILL NOT be getting our acceptance/denial emails today. They said that emails will be sent out no sooner than Monday, June 20th.
So don't expect anything until then.
They are planning on taking about 300-400 students for the fall semester.
So, now we wait even longer.
Good Luck!
Hey!
Thanks for the update! Did they give you a reason why they are making us wait?
Oh man that stinks! I really wanted to know sooner then later 😩
