Hello everyone, I wanted to chime in as I am in the same boat. I did my first interview for Grady externship and then a second (on April 7) with my first choice unit (NICU). -------------------- said that I would hear something in a week, but I have not heard anything yet. Your thread has made me feel sane as it has been well over a week! Good luck everyone!

Yes! I got an email after 7 pm last night! I got the position too! It did not say what unit, but as I only (second) interviewed with one unit I am confident it is the one I wanted! Did you get any info about which unit?

Yes I got the offer too!! So excited! Mine didn’t say which unit either but I’m assuming it’s ER since that’s the only clinical director I interviewed with. So excited!!! June 7 is so far away! Dying to get my official offer. Anybody know what the rules are for shoes? I want to get new work shoes to celebrate! ?

Have you guys heard anything from HR yet? It’s been over a week and I’m worried they didn’t get my confirmation or something! I’m holding my breath to hear what unit I’m on.

No I have not heard anything from HR yet either. Maybe they’re waiting until it gets close to the time of our start date.

I haven’t heard from HR either. I would assume it will be soon as I think we have to do a physical exam and drug testing as part of the process before June 7. I have a friend that was hired as PCT and she said it was very last minute when she was told to come in and do her testing before her start date...

I emailed to try to find out orientation week schedule cuz I have a clinical day on June 8. ?? Which I can probably get moved if I ask NOW....but I need to know the orientation schedule!

-------------------- told me at my second interview that the first week would be a 9-5 deal starting on June 7. Then after that all extern shifts would vary, but that first week would be the same for everyone, hope this helps!
