Hello, Has anyone applied for the Grady Nurse Externship/PRN Summer 2021?

Hi! I did and I have an interview tomorrow! Super nervous. Also I haven't received the email invitation to the online interview. Someone called me yesterday to invite me to interview, but I'm not sure who it was, and I'm worried that I haven't gotten the email link to the call! Interview is gonna be online.

Hi, I have an interview tomorrow too! I received an email invitation today from ----------------------. Maybe you can call back and tell her you haven’t received the link.

Yeah, I did, but she wasn’t there...left a message. Ugh. I tried to email her weeks ago but I don’t know if I found the right address. I did not need another thing to stress about!

Bianca how’d your interview go? I felt like mine went well but it was really short!! She only asked me 3 questions. I prepped answers to like 10 questions. ? The first one was “tell me about yourself” and I had a detailed story that showed both my experience and passion and why I’m the perfect fit for Grady so I’m hoping she made up her mind to hire me from that.. ?

Same!? My interview was short too but I feel it went well. I had asked if we had the opportunity to choose what unit we would like to be on and she said we do and if the unit likes you after a day of working on that unit then you could possibly stay. I’m interested in Labor Delivery or Mother/Baby. I hope we get the position??

I want ER SO BAD I can taste it. ??❤️? Relieved to hear your interview was short too, hopefully that’s a good sign. I was totally thrown because I had prepared SO MANY stories and she only asked for one. I was like, Wait, don’t you wanna know about my strengths? Weaknesses? A time I solved a problem? ??? 

All she asked was “tell me about yourself” (I had a brilliant speech about my experience and how my passions come together to make me the perfect Grady nurse), “which unit are you interested in” (me: ER, trauma ICU, medical ICU, or literally anywhere in this hospital cuz Grady is my dream), and “tell me about a time when you had a conflict with a coworker.” I had so many behavioral/situational stories prepared!

Hey, did they get in contact with you about a second interview too?

Yes they did! Second interview next week. I know a second interview is a good thing but dangit I wish they’d told me there were more hoops to jump through! I was not emotionally prepared for another interview! Plus it’s gonna be on the same day as my med surg exam. ???

At least I was super prepared for the last interview so I probably am already ready for this one?

Right! I thought the first interview was going to be it ? LOL but Goodluck on your exam! I have a Peds exam the same week too and I am scared LOL.

How was your second interview? Mine was today and I think it went well! It was with the clinical director of the ER so they’re definitely considering me for that!!! ??? I honestly felt a little star-struck when he introduced himself. ???

I would say my interview went well. My interview was for a position in the ICU ?.
