what i would do (if i were you) is try to get everything into the BON about 2 months in advance--the application, finger prints, etc. then start calling nursing recruiters (or emailing them) about 3 months in advance. i applied and got a position 2 months prior to graduating (without being an extern) and had all my stuff into the board prior to graduating. the day after graduation i got my ATT from pearsonvue and scheduled my nclex. that's the way i'd recommend you attack this stuff. also, are you planning to work in compact states?
Hello, I am going to Labor and Delivery, and I applied for every Labor job I interviewed for in September and October, and was offered the one htat I really wanted in December, and since January there had been a waiting list in L&D, I would advise you to call all the recruiters where you are interested in working on Monday, It is crunch time now!
Good Luck~
Also I know you are ready to graduate just like me, finding a job adds a little more Umph for that last couple of months!
I had put in my applications...everyone told me it was too soon...well I have an interview set up for next Wed in Labor and Delivery...so I guess it was not too soon afterall!!! Good Luck!!!
Awesome, remember to prepare, prepare, prepare for your interview. Good luck and let us know how it went :)
