Question about Hesi exit exam
we had the same requirements to graduate- i found (as did other classmates) that the saunder's review books and cds most closely matched the question style/content of the hesi exams.. just do alot of the saunders questions.. using the cd is great bc it gives you feedback right after you answer. youll find the hesi questions very similar. also remember that a side effect of clozaril is agranulocytosis.. hesi likes that question a lot:)

Delray Medical Center
im doing my preceptorship, along with a few of my classmates we are all in different ICU's and so far everyone has loved it there. But thats in ICU i dont know much abou the other floors.. they offer good new grad orientations from what i hear along with decent sign on bonuses for ICU areas. most nurses in my area seem pretty happy.

fau nursing program
hey! im actually a senior in the tranditional track fau nursing program. ill grad in may!! :) anyway.. they do only accept 40 students.. but its not as competitive as many other universities. grades are the most impt thing... and they actually dont look at being a naitive fau student as an advantage like many other universities -most of us (including me ) did prereqs at pbcc and bcc.(only 10 from our class of 40 were from fau) i think our class' average GPA was only a 3.3.. but i know a lot of people applied! fau's big thing is caring.. and im not kidding its a HUGE deal to them.. so in your admissions essay CARE IT UP! they love nursing caring theories by mayeroff (ingredients of caring), sister roach's 6 C's .. etc.. in your application essay i would say something about.. "i was really inspired by the caring phylosophies i read about in... ::insert caring phylosophy book here:: " theyll love it!! the preadmissions hesi is a joke basically.. its just to scare you and make sure you can read/add/arent a serial killer... some are personality type questions. most are basic math and language.. basic as in 11+5= ? (and you get a calculator). dont stress about it at all.. i didnt buy the prep book and did fine.. anyway.. if you have any questions at all you can email me at [email protected] :) good luck!!

??? about Palm Beach county might move
everything is cheaper preconstruction. if you call a real estate office or look on the internet you may be able to find something. basically you can buy things for cheaper before or while they are being built but then once they are finished the prices go way up. for example: less than a year ago they were selling town houses down the street they started preconstruction about 200 and then prices started going up slowely before they were even finished now they are close to 300.

??? about Palm Beach county might move
Hi. I was born, raised and currently live in palm beach county. i currently live in west palm beach near wellington. i reallly love the area but like everyone has said.. its become extremely expensive. 300-400,000 for an average sized home. but pay rates arent any higher than most areas.. maybe 18/hr. i will most likely be moving when i finish nursing school in a year. in school we do clinicals at JFK hospital its near the lake worth/atlantis area. i love it. they were voted one of the 100 best hospitals a few years ago and are good to their employees from what i hear. most nurses ive talked to like it there and there is a really friendly atmosphere and they treat us nursing students wonderfully. if i stay in town after graduation it will definately be the hospital i choose. you should check out their website. like everyone else said schools arent that great- crowded and test scores tend to be some of the lowest in the country. jfk does offer though a charter school for its employees. i beleive that you still pay for it - but its less expensive than private school and just down the street from the hospital. many of the nurses i work with use it (im thinking its mostly for younger- preschool and elementary students.) but check that out. i havent heard too many good things about bethesda (boynton area.) but i know someone who loves palms west (in the royal palm beach area.) also the wellington/royal palm beach area is very nice (if youre looking for a home) but its also a little more expensive than other areas. let me know if you have any specific questions i can anwser.

Young and single! Should I move here?
i live in west palm beach (south east florida) and go to school in boca raton. its really nice here and all.. but the costs of living are insane. i graduate in may 07.. and am actually likely to move to georgia (by the way..any advice on where to move?) there are some great hospitals in this area but i cant afford to live here especially being single. for a half decent one bedroom apartment in this area youre looking at at least 900/month and other stuff is expensive too.. if anything i would look into the west coast.. like ft myers or naples or bradenton is nice. the beaches are nice over there and the cost of living isnt so bad. but watch out for the hurricanes! orlando is kind of pricey also but i know a lot of people who love it up there.

any palm beach county nurses?
ive heard good things about JFK hospital (its only about 5 miles away from wellington regional) its a bit older than wellington but i believe it won some kind of award a few years back. and benefits are supposed to be good - a charter school for your kids.. and some other stuff. i would look into it. i believe they have a website.
