any palm beach county nurses?
I am 22 year's old and thinking about going into nursing. I am from a rural town south of lake okeechobee, and the closest hospitals for me to work at are Columbia Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee or Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington. Are there any nurses out there with experience at either these hospitals? Are they good hospitals to work for, pay good, benefits? Any response would be greatly appreciated. :)

Having a job while in nursing school
I am going into nursing school next year, god willing, I am working on my pre-req's right now. I have a full time job right now doing office work, which I know will not continue when I start nursing school. I am going to get a ADN in Nursing from a Community College, but I have never worked in a health care setting at all. My question is, while I am in nursing school, could I get a night job working in the hospital, do nursing-type work without being a LPN or CNA. Even if it is filing or answering phones, I would just like to gain extra experience while I am in school because I am totally new at this profession. Are there other people out there going to nursing school that had no prior nursing or hospital working experience? If so, is it a total shock, or were you just as confident as students that were LPN's or CNA's working on thier RN degree? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

school nurses salary
I was wondering what the rate of pay for school nurses are compared to hospital nurses. I am interested in school nursing, but I didn't know how the two compared. Any help would be appreciated.

A questions for nurses
I am 22 years old, and I am considering a career in nursing. I have been thinking about it for a while now...and want to commit myself to helping people in need. I have been going back and forth between two professions, nursing and sonography. I was wondering if any of you had any advice as to which profession would be better, or if there are any nurses out there who also are registered sonographers. I had heard that some nursed get registered in sonography to broaden thier field. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
