GPC Nursing Fall 2016

Published

Hi all !

I have been looking to see if anyone would start this thread - then I decided I would do it ! I currently have a bachelor's degree in Sociology & Spanish going back for nursing! I took my prereqs at Gwinnett Tech and Georgia Perimeter over the last few years. I applied back in October and the waiting has been hard!

Wanted to hear from some other people applying for next fall!

They extended it until the 3rd

I applied back in December as well. I'm literally counting down the days til March when I can start looking out for a letter. I got a 93 on my TEAS and have a 4.0 in the Bio Prereqs as well as a 3.4 overall GPA. Soooo excited to get this ball rolling!

Hi! I have a previous degree in Psychology from GSU and a 3.65 or 3.88 depending on what GPA they take ;) Got an 86.7 on TEAS. Currently taking AP2 at Dunwoody campus and signed up for Micro in summer. Applied to GSU, KSU, and Emory in addition to GPC

Hello!

I have applied for the Fall as well. My program GPA is a 3.7 and i got an 80 then an 85 on the TEAS the second time around. I' also thinking about applying to GSU since i'm already here but i'm not feeling GSU anymore. I've finished all my prereqs minus choices for life and that research class. I'm praying to get into GPC's Nursing program so i can finally feel like i'm starting this journey.

Has anyone heard anything from the school yet? I'm religiously check the mail every day haha. I'm also trying to look for any clues that might mean I'm admitted. Have you guys seen anything?

Lol I am too but nothing yet. The wait is killing me!

Hey Everyone, I just went to a Gpc's Nursing Information Session yesterday, and they said they are reducing the number of students they are accepting to 100 for Fall, and 60 for Spring due to Faculty shortage.

I was a few minutes late, so i really did not hear if this applies to FALL 2016.

@Jana_bg i thought they got rid of the spring application/cohort/track a while ago?

what do you mean by cohort/track ?

what do you mean by cohort/track ?

Ah i'm not exactly sure how to explain it or if i even have the full explanation but basically once you're in the program you stay with the same group of peers you started the program with until graduation. Same class schedule, similar clincial hours etc.
