GPC Nursing Fall 2016

Hi all !

I have been looking to see if anyone would start this thread - then I decided I would do it ! I currently have a bachelor's degree in Sociology & Spanish going back for nursing! I took my prereqs at Gwinnett Tech and Georgia Perimeter over the last few years. I applied back in October and the waiting has been hard!

Wanted to hear from some other people applying for next fall!

Hi MayaImani, I also applied for fall 2016. I haven't heard anything yet, but I applied fairly recently. I transferred a few prereqs in, but the majority of them were done at GPC.

Hi! I just submitted my application last week and took the TEAS yesterday :) I'm so nervous to hear back! I spoke with someone from the nursing department and she said we will know our admission status no later than April 30th. I'm currently in A&P II and plan on taking microbiology this summer to finish my prerequisites. What are everyone's stats?

I'm very nervous too! I hope we hear something sooner than that. I'm currently taking Phil 2030 and A&P ll second half. I registered to take micro in the summer.

Wow April 30th? *looks at calendar* i know in the forum for Fall 2015, they found out closer to end of March. So i'm hoping that's the same for us! That's good everyone is finishing up their prereqs, im sure its a headache to do them while in the program! Good luck with those grades! :yes: I got a 91 on the teas and im honestly not sure my GPA for GPC because i have credits coming in from a few different schools from over the years and i think my A&P I may be considered too old! I believe it is 3.0

Is anyone already in the medical field?

That's awesome! I got a 91 too! :) My overall GPA is a 3.3, but for all of my prerequisites I have a 4.0. So I'm crossing my fingers! This wait is going to be the death of me though haha

Those are great stats! Yesss same for me.. in the meantime, i've decided to be productive. Brushing up on drug calculations and body systems. Have you applied anywhere else?

That's what I need to be doing! These drug calculations tests in nursing school I've been hearing about sound kind of terrifying haha. I applied to Emory as well! How about you?

You guys did great on the teas! I've been brushing up on drug calculations as well. I only applied to GPC so I'm praying I get in.
