For the people that took the NET for GPC. I know they say that you can only take it twice and then have to wait 2 years before applying to the program again. On the NET results that you get in the mail, does it say how many attempts you have tried? I'm wondering if you can not send the results to GPC until you get a better score? If it shows the number of attempts then this will not work. This ridiculous rule is stressing me out and am trying to find a loop hole.
Any information on this would help me out
Thanks

GPC is sent a copy...you don't have to send them a copy. If the testing is the same as when I took it, in the beginning you are asked what school will get your results. So I really don't think there is a loop hole in this situation.
But I would have to send it to GPC? I could send them to Dalton College?? which I have no intentions of going to. I know you can call ERI and request result to be sent to another school after the test was taken. ERI just needs a place to send it, not necessarily the school you end up going to. Do you remember if the results state how many attempts you tried ie attempt 1 or 2?
I took the test last Saturday and people were having their results sent to Clayton state. I have read on Clayton's website that they will not take NET result from ERI or other schools. This means that these test results are going to thrown in the trash.
I know it seems like i'm putting more energy into the loop hole than the actual test. I am one of those who can do well on test, but as soon as you put a timer in front of me, I quickly become stupid.
Thanks for replying
So if you go to Clayton State the student has to give them the results? I would think they would want them from ERI. First of all I wouldn't worry about the results b/c the I am sure you did just fine. The NET test really isn't difficult, I am sure that you realized that while you were taking it. And to answer your question the number of attempts were not listed on the results form..but be careful I am sure there's a way for them to find out about the number of attempts. So think positive thoughts and I am sure you will be successful

Hi Youneek28,
I agree with you. I don't think that you even have to specify at the beginning where you want your scores sent. I think if you do send your scores to GPC twice that you will have to wait 2 years, but if they never get them, then how will they know how many times you have taken it.

What ever happened to "honesty is the best policy"? If you do attempt to deceive them and get caught, your reputation will be ruined, and your honesty will always be questioned. Believe me, schools communicate with eachother and you don't want to be known as a dishonest person. Just do the right thing !!!
I agree and I am trying to stay positive on this whole thing. The math portion was a piece of cake, it is the reading comprehension that threw me down the stairs. The study guide from ERI didn't represent the reading portion at all. I will be the first to admit that I am not the fastest reader, so when I got use to reading a paragraph and then answering a question it was not big deal. The test, on the other head, it was read 2 or 3 paragraph and then answer a question got to me a little. I really hope this worrying is all for nothing, but I need a strategy just in case things don't turn out so well.
As far as the Clayton thing. Yes, quoting the website "Results transferred from ERI or other schools are generally not acceptable." The ERI people confirmed this. Clayton will not accept them nor will they give ERI the scores so that you can send them to other schools. You might however be able to ask Clayton to send them to other schools.
Thanks Again.
Hey gapeachrn2b,
I don't think that it should be looked at as deception. I look at it as a minor stumbling block that can be overcome. I'm not in the position as the OP, as I have already been accepted to a nursing program, but if I were in her position, I would be trying to find a way around it myself.

And plus, I don't think I failed it. Why in the world would GPC have a limit on the number of attempts just to improve your score. So if I do end up taking it twice and passing both times, can I not apply for two years if I don't get accepted the first time? Why? because I have taken it twice. I think its more for the people that fail it twice that don't get to apply again. Would taking A&P and making a B and then taking it again to better your score be against the rules?
Lightattheend05, where have you been accepted to?
BTW don't feel bad but, my body parts reflect a "him";)

Was there a entrance exam for Emory?
Nope. Emory does not require an entrance test.
