Who's applied to GPC for the fall?
Hey mg100,I ordered my scrubs (zip tops & pants) fri, expect them tomorrow. Found K-Swiss sneakers @Hibbets for $40 versus $60 @meridys. Bought my stethescope kit (scope,penlite,scissors,w/holder) @campus bookstore on a whim $25. I wish I bought the kit that also included the blood pressure cuff online with my order, it would have been cheaper. I plan on investing in a Littman later down the road. Have you seen the thread about Dr's "borrowing" our scopes? It's shameful. I'll see if I can find the post.
Hey Watashi,
Did you order anything else other than Fundamentals? The book list is pretty long and obviously we don't need all of them in the first semester...I emailed the instructor what books we need for the I semester and she said that 90% of the time we will use Fundamentals but didn't say what else if anything is necessary...
I got the three on the "required" list: Fundamentals, Nutrition and Medical-Surgical. I also got #10 - Davis's Tests. Then I saw (I think in this forum) that the Davis stuff is available online, or through iPhone apps, so I didn't get the other one, or the dictionary.
I skipped the optional fundamentals study guide - it got terrible reviews on Amazon for typos and errors. I may get the mental health and pharmacology later this summer, but it seemed like those might be for future semesters. SURELY this list is to cover several semesters - these books are HUGE!
