Hello! Just wondering if anyone else was recently selected for an Air Force fully qualified spot? I leave for COT in June and will be heading to JB Elmendorf-Richardson after. Just wanted to see if any of you will be heading to COT at the same time.

There was recently an earthquake which affected that area.

Specializes in Adult Critical Care.

Yes, but unless you work flight med (which only about 1 nurse does), it really won't affect you; bio and flight are older buildings. The main hospital there was minimally damaged, because it's fairly new. A few roads are impacted. Most of the structures in Anchorage are built to sustain sustain moderate earthquakes.

Anyone have any insight on Langley? Just found out yesterday that I will be stationed there.

I am hoping to be selected in February and go to the June COT. Have you heard that they have lengthened the training? From four weeks to eight?

Like you, I am also hoping to be selected next month and go to COT in June! I hope the results come back quickly! Good luck!

I am also patiently waiting for next month.

I am in the process of scheduling the Boards interview before the April 1st application deadline. I am looking for information regarding the Boards and how I can prepare for it as I have not found much information elsewhere. I have made a small list of talking points regarding my education and career experience, as well as began studying the OTSMAN thus far.

If anyone would not mind sharing a little on their Board experience, or just giving some tips and topics to study on before going in, I would appreciate it.

My interview had a lot of scenario based questions regarding my nursing practice and ethical scenarios that I have faced/ may face in the military. They asked about how I will handle deployment, how my family feels about me jointing the military, and the goals I have for my time in the Air Force. The interviewer spent a lot of time talking about his experience in the AF and allowed me to ask any questions that I had. Just prepare to talk about why you want to join the Air Force specifically and know the mission/ vision well so you can tie it into your responses. You will do great! It was obviously stressful because I wanted to do well, but the interview itself was fairly laid back and I left feeling very confident. Good luck!

Whos going to COT in June?
