BSN required?

I'm an RN currently in ICU looking into military nursing, mainly AF. I currently hold an Associate's degree in nursing but also have a BS in education and a Master's in Health and Exercise Science. I was told that in order to get into military nursing I needed my BSN but also heard that only a Bachelor's is required, not necessarily in nursing. So, which is it? Can I try to apply now with a BS or will they only consider me if I have the BSN?

Yep you need a bachelor's of science in nursing or higher (you could also do an ADN to MSN program too). You are currently not eligible.

Specializes in ER, ICU.

I was commissioned in 2011 with an ASN and non nursing Bachelor. Not sure if it has changed.

As I wrote in the other thread, the requirements have changed. It used to be that you could be pursuing a BSN and commission with an ASN, particularly in the Guard.
