Hey guys,
I got my results and I did not pass Nclex. I give up! I don't know what else to do. I thought I did all the right things, but this test is still kicking my butt. I don't even know if I will sit for it for a third time. I feel lost and confused, and completely unsure of myself and my skills and knowlege of being a nurse. Maybe it's not meant to be for me to be a nurse.
Thanks for all the support and encouragement from all of you. It warms my heart to know that you care.

So sorry to hear that. Please don't give up; you didn't go through all of that schooling for nothing. Hang in there, get some suggestions from the nurses who took it and passed it, and try again! Good luck to you.

Don't waste your Degree/Diploma, all that time and you made it. You have to keep trying for the test, just think of all the sacrifices you made while going through school!! I know you feel down, I would too, but you need to find a solution and not give up. Try a different way of studying that you haven't tried before- Group study, Prep class, flash cards etc..Please don't give up, we need you-haven't you heard about the shortage :) ?

Give yourself time to think. Look at your options see what you can do. If you want to be Nurse go for it. When you start making dreams don't give up on them. If you want it go after it, and don't let the bad stuff of it pull you down. Just hang in there and stay strong okay.

sorry to hear about your nclex.
the only way you become a failure is when you decide not to take another shot at the nclex. don't let a inanimate object like the cat computer beat you!!! best of luck on your next boards...you can do it!!!

Hi Imgn 78,
I am really sorry you didn't pass. Let me say that first and foremost. It is one of the worst feelings in the world. Your self esteem is in the gutter and you don't feel you can even get up to dress yourself in the morning. Allow yourself to feel this way. Go through the emotions and LEARN from them.
Now, when you're ready to hear it Imgn, try, try, try again. You can and WILL conquer this test when it is God's time for you. There is a reason you failed. It is meant for you to give it your all again.
I felt the same way you did after I failed my second time. I didn't want to leave the house for weeks. But then slowly, each day I felt better, and eventually I faced my coworkers and family and told them all I failed. I claimed that I failed and told myself, I WILL NOT let this test kill my goal of becoming a nurse.
Now I write you after passing my third time. I encourage you to do the same. Claim your failure and know that it is a trial you have to endure but by doing just that you will learn what you need to do in the future to pass.
I will be praying for you,
JacelRN

Never, EVER give up. Consider it nothing more than a challenge... something to be conquered. Who CARES how many times you have to take it? It reflects nothing about your ability to be a great nurse other than the wonderful and necessary qualities of persistence needed to get to the bottom of a problem... consider this exam a PATIENT... would you give up on your patient or keep plugging away until you were able to resolve her issues?
Stop viewing it as an "exam" and see it instead as something you intend to do for the sheer challenge of it.
Take some time for yourself and your family now. Put it aside for awhile and rejuvinate your body, mind, and spirit.
You WILL pass. And we're all right here behind you. :kiss

I know how u feel. I will be taking the test for the 3rd time, and I have 2 little girls to support. I found there wasn't much anyone could say to make me feel better. I found that I had to find it in myself to try again. I am going to pay for this 3 week coure online learningext.com I graduated in May of 2002, and I still have not passed. So I feel this website might help me bring things back that I might of forgot........Good Luck, and please don't give up. You are not alone..
