Hey guys, I got my results and I did not pass Nclex. I give up! I don't know what else to do. I thought I did all the right things, but this test is still kicking my butt. I don't even know if I will sit for it for a third time. I feel lost and confused, and completely unsure of myself and my skills and knowlege of being a nurse. Maybe it's not meant to be for me to be a nurse. Thanks for all the support and encouragement from all of you. It warms my heart to know that you care.

Hi guys, Well, I decided to forgo the Kaplan online review course and just take my test today. Now I wish I would've reconsidered. I went in so confident, but by the time 150 came around I was starting to doubt myself. I ended up taking 265 questions. The first time I took Nclex, I took 75 questions and failed. I don't feel too optimisitic about it all. I felt like towards the end, I was just answering the questions to get the test over and done with. I left so unsure and down. I find out my unofficial results on Friday so I will let you all know how I did. And thanks to all of you who lent an ear and offered encouraging words. It helped a lot!

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I, unfortunately, am nowhere near in deciding what to do. I feel like it's do or die. I don't think that all of this is good for me. I have all these questions running through my mind. I am so afraid of failing again that I'm starting to question myself immensely. I've been out of school for almost a year now so I can completely empathize with NicuNsg. I'm starting to feel like I don't know anything! Yikes! I will definitely look into Saunders review. I have been using Lippincott and Mosby's, and I've liked the Lippincott the most. Thanks for all the warm thoughts and encouragement. It's just what I need!

hi all, so i need some advice. i have taken nclex once and failed. i am scheduled to take it a second time on march 10. there's the kaplan online review course that i could take to prepare for boards. it's 344 and if you don't pass they refund your money back to you. ok. so the latest date that i can take boards is april 27. i'm thinking about rescheduling my test until april and taking the course just as added insurance to passing. if i don't pass then i have to wait until june to take it again. i can still take the online course, but after 3 tries and failing in illinois, i have to show proof that i have taken a refresher course. has anyone taken the kaplan online review course? and does anyone advise me to delay the test and take the course? thanks

hi everyone. thanks for the good pointers. i will try them out. i'm still waiting for my diagnositic profile to come back to help me determine what areas i need to hit first. i have 2 cd's that i'll use more as well. i thought about taking a review course, but all the girls i went to school with said that it was useless. jacel, you'll have to let me know how your review course goes this weekend. also, i've been reading a lot about the kaplan review course. is that online or only given at the school? i'm not sure if i can afford a review course right now so i might just have to stick to the review books. i have a mosby, lippincott, and a booklet that was used in one of the review coureses that my friend attended. does anyone have any other suggestions. the cd's that i have are the ones that came with the review books. thanks for all the great advice and support! imgn78

thanks jacel311. it feels good to know that there are others out there that are going through what i am. this is such a great outlet for me. when did you take your second exam and when are you taking your third? i too know that we can do it! i know we didn't go through nursing school for nothing. i'm beginning to realize that failing boards is by no means a reflection of our skills as a nurse. god knows how much i doubted myself after finding out that i had failed. thanks for the advice. i will try to all the things you suggested, and i know that we will prevail. what were the steps that you took to register for boards again. do i have to apply again? i don't think i'll do it until after christmas, but want to get as much information as i can. thanks again jacel311. take care, imgn78:)

well, it's been 3 days since i found out my results on nclex. i feel a lot better and am trying to think about the next time i'll take nclex. i did everything right the first time. i studied from mosby and lippincott review books for 3 months. i meditated, prayed, and tried not to stress about it too much. everyone keeps telling me that i have to study differently. does anyone have any advice as to how i should study differently? i will be eligible to take it again at the end of february. will that give me enough time to prepare again? also, will the anaylysis that comes back from the test help me find out what areas i'm weak in? would appreciate any kind of advice! thanks!

thanks for the encouragement. this might sound a little mean but it means more coming from somone who understands than someone who doesn't. my family and friends are giving me so much support, but they have no clue as to what i'm going through. they have no idea how hard i worked for this only to fail. does anyone feel the way i do? anyhow, thanks for the nice words and support.

hi everyone. i'm new to this message board, and came across trying to find comfort in failing nclex. i took it on tuesday and found the results today!! on thanksgiving day of all days!! needless to say that it completely ruined my thanksgiving. i took 75 questions and was so confident that i had passed. it was a shock to find out that i had failed, and failed miserably at that!! has anyone else took 75 questions and failed? i feel so discouraged and it's hard to think of taking it again when i did so terribly!!
