You are so the person that probably already answered my question. I grad next month and wondering how much could you do with your diploma until you get your license..by the way YAY for you CONGRATS!!!!!
Hello,
You need to apply for your GVN (or GN -- are you RN or LVN?) with your state board. My school sends all our paperwork in for us so 10 days after pinning we all receive our GVN to work. That's all you need to work as a nurse, but refrain from telling patients you are a licensed nurse, because you're not until you pass the boards. There are a number of people who became disqualified from taking boards even before getting it because they misrepresented themselves as LVN when they were only GVN.
Kudos to you. That is so awesome. I wish you much luck.
I am so excited! I accomplished yet another goal: secure employment before graduation! HALLELUJAH!!! I got accepted in the OR. They said, "If you're willing to learn, we'll take you!" This is excellent - get to start out in specialty!
