Got a job offer... agreed... & forgot to ask about pay.

So fortunately, I got a job offer in a nurse residency program. I graduated last May and just passed the NCLEX for the first time this month. After graduation I was stuck overseas for a few months.

Anyway, I am so thankful that I got the job because I really like this hospital and the program is ideal for me. However, the manager gave me a phone number to call for screening and what not before the start date. She also asked if I had any questions asbout the program. She told me a few other things but due to my excitement... I forgot to ask her about the salary.

I have an idea of what it is going to be. But should I call back and ask her? Or since I don't see it as a big deal, maybe not call. Do you think she will be wondering why I didn't ask?

If you came into contact with HR during your process, I would ask HR instead of the manager. Speaking from my experience, when HR called to offer me the job she explained salary information with me and it was also included in my official employment letter through email.

I did the same thing! I went to the HR department and to,d them I forgot to ask. She looked it up and it was a low ball salary. I asked HR if we could negotiate and she said yes.

Don't be afraid to ask.

Yeah that's an HR question. If you ask ur manager she will probably point you in the direction of HR.
