Hello everyone!
I am applying to Gordon College's nursing program for the spring. I was accepted to the program for the fall semester but had to decline because I did not think that I could finish my A&P2 and micro classes this summer. My gpa dropped a little since I was accepted and I was wondering if any previously accepted students could help me determine my chances for getting in for the spring. I am taking A&P2 and microbiology this fall to satisfy the rest of my core. My gpa is a 3.26 and I got an 83.5 on my TEAS. Do you think that those scores will be good enough? When I got in for fall I had a 3.36 gpa and the same score on my TEAS, so theyre not that much different. This is the only program that I am applying for so I'm just hoping that I get in. If anyone can help me figure out my chances, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks :)
Dixie, the students who were accepted have until the 29th of this month to respond. so I would say SOME of the students who were wait listed should hear something within the first week of November. The people who were wait listed last spring heard something two weeks to 3 weeks are the letters were mailed out.
Good Morning Everyone,
I know most of you have received your letters and I want to say congradulations to all who were accepted and for those of you who didn't get in, DO NOT GIVE UP!!! KEEP TRYING!!! As most of you know I will be repeating 1901 in the Spring and because I passed Pharmacolgy, I won't have to take that over. But I wanted to give you all a heads up, start studying Dosage and Calculations as soon as you are able. Alot of my fellow students were unable to pass the Dosage test so they could not go on to second semester. There are alot of wonderful websites that would help and also there are a numerous amount of threads here on ALLNURSES that will help. You all will be overwhelmed in the beginning so the sooner you can get a jump start the better. If you have any questions about the program let me know, I will help you all as much as I can!!! See you all at CAMP I CAN!!!!!:yeah:
:yeah:
@#1 Mommy can't wait to see you at Camp I Can!!! I will be attending the transfer orientation on November 18th and hopefully registering for the classes. I bought the Dosage Calculations book already and hope to get started on studying after this wknd. Is there anywhere that I can find a sample test or just what they sent us in the package? Thanks :)
@an2on I bought the 8th ed. Dosage Calculations book by Pickar. It's the one that they suggest you get in that package they sent once you turn in your acceptance for a seat. @#1 Mommy That would be great!!! I'm really going to need that jump start, I can only imagine how busy we will be once we get started. I do have a fax, not sure how to send you a direct message maybe I can email you the number. THANKS again!!!!

Congratulations to all that received their acceptance letters and those that are waitlisted as well KEEP HOPE ALIVE!!!!! And if you didnt get accepted this time do not give up!!!!! Whatever does not kill you will only make you stronger. I have been applying to different schools and programs for the past 3semesters and finally got into Gordon. Remember that everything happens for a reason and at its own time. I actually found a lot of other schools that I did not know about that offer the ASN and BSN and also a lot of other programs that accept all of the nursing prereq's. DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!!! See you guys in the Spring.
