Gordon nursing fall 2011

That is what I am doing, although I have not yet started those 2 classes(psyc2103, history) I need at Gordon. I am waiting to hear from the program to determine if I need to get them out of the way this summer or if I can wait till fall. If I am accepted then I will take them over summer, if not I will take them in the fall and reaply for spring 2012. I figure the man upstairs has got this and when the time is write it will happen.

Wish we would hear something already! If I didnt make it, Im not taking my class over the summer! But if I do get accepted, Ill need to take it! I guess they wait as long as they can so that people who applied at other schools will know if they are accepted or not and they can choose; that way if Gordon wasnt their 1st choice they will turn it down and open up a spot...

MK126995- I really hope that is the case that people that applied to more than one program wind up not accepting at Gordon, cause that makes more room for those of us that only want to go to Gordon. Gordon is 20 miles and 1 or 2 red lights from me, and with 3 kids in school I just cant afford to be to far away from home. Getting into Gordon is my only option for becoming a nurse.

Has anyone heard anything yet. I say don't trust the admin people telling you when letters are coming out. I applied to GPC and was told last week of April and they came out this week. Got denied at my own school mind you. So Gordon is my last hope for Fall. And I can honestly say I am not holding my breath. It would be easier to become a PA. But on previous posts I have seen This week when people did get letters.

Yeah, I agree sreed73, I called today and was told the same thig another person was told a week ago by the same person. said in about two weeks. But she also toold someone else that over a week ago. So, whateva. I am hopeful that they will be here by the end of the week, or early next week. I am even more hopeful that I got in.:)

I hope so too Gordon is my last school that hasn't denied me. If they do I guess I will try for Spring. I only have Micro left. It just seems lately that all the schools are focusing on is GPA. If you are 3.8 or higher your in.

Someone in my micro class today said their advisor told them the letters weren't even coming out this year until May ... She said there were WAY more applicants this year than there have ever been in the past, but then another girl said her advisor told her the middle of April, which is what herself told me. This is so frustrating... I just want to know!

See there are SOO many rumors flying around, I've heard that they were mailed out last Friday, that they were mailed out beginning of this week and then the posts on here... I dont think they tell anyone the truth when they call- and I think if we have a set deadline, they should too. This is ridiculous, people do have lives to plan- most of the applicants base their jobs, travel, living arrangements, childcare etc. around the outcome of this. Very inconsiderate to keep people waiting like this- many other schools have already notified applicants and had a later deadline than Gordon, I just dont understand the hold up.

I know were all tired of waiting, and the rumors are flying like crazy, but no amount of stress or anger is gonna make the letters come any faster. I to have a future that is being planned around this, but I have faith and trust in God that it will happen when it is in his plan and that no matter what I will be ok. I am a little disturbed I must say by the fact that have to meet such high standards just to get into the program, and then we cant get a definate word on when they mail the letters, but the way I see it is others before us have had to wait this long and longer for there letters, so it is all just a process. The wait will be over soon, I will lift us all in my prayers in hope that we all get some peace over this soon.

Hi everyone, I'm currently in the program now. I got in for this spring. Our deadline was July 30th I believe and I received my acceptance letter on October 13th. Thats two and a half months. I think your deadline was sometime at the end of February so... it hasnt even been a month and a half yet. You may have a little waiting to do especially if its true that A LOT of people applied. Rumors are crazy before they send out the letters, but the best thing is to just be patient. Good luck to everyone and I hope that you all are accepted : )

Oh, and according to Banner web it looks like there are 75 spots for fall including the new acceptances and returning students(if there are any).
