Gordon College Fall 2013 Hopefuls

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

I wanted to start a thread for anyone out there applying to Gordon College's Fall 2013 Nursing program.

Application has been submitted, now the fun of waiting begins!!! Good luck to all that are out in cyber-world.

Is anyone attending the nursing school success workshop in June?

I was really thinking about it but some people told me to just save my money so I'm not sure!

Interesting. I wish we had a better idea what it was about and if it wasn't so many days. It seems like you could cover everything in 2 days instead of 4. I think part of the reason I want to do it is to meet other students and get this nursing thing started.

Yeah I know what ya mean I've been trying to get registered for the new student orientation on June 19th to get registered.

I didn't register for NSO because I still was only provisionally accepted before today (due to final spring transcript). I just showed up at the NSO today, submitted an unofficial transcript, and completed an extension form. Afterwards, they evaluated the unofficial on the spot, granted final acceptance, and allowed me to register with the B orientation group this afternoon. If you're having trouble registering, just show up. They will take care of everything once you get there!

Ok thanks! Man if I knew that I would have went today it just said summer only for today that's why I didn't go! That helps a lot though :)

I forgot to share my assumption. When I registered for 1901 and 1921 there were 28 seats. There are still 27, so I'm assuming that those are for incoming transfer students who aren't able to register yet. I don't believe Gordon is as transfer unfriendly as they have been rumored to be. Of course I could be wrong, but I don't see why current students would not have registered by now when they've been able to for over a month already.

What section of 1901 are folks signing up for? I never thought I could be so excited for August.

I'm not sure I just registered for the NSO on June 19...let me know though so I can try to get in the same one

Hello all! I've been reading all of your posts and it takes me back to when I was having the same exact thoughts and questions. I start 4th semester at Gordon in the fall and let me tell you... Whew! I do not know what to tell y'all to make you feel prepared. Just good luck and hold on to your bootstraps. The saying "in life you need three bones...a wishbone, backbone, and a funny bone" is VERY relevant for nursing school. Enjoy the first semester. :) If y'all have questions feel free to ask.

Megan9107 I just send you a request so I could send you a message. I was hoping you could answer some questions for me.
