I've heard about making little goody bags for teachers at the beginning of the year. Since this is my first year as a school nurse, I can't think of giving them anything other than a few pairs of gloves and some band-aids and maybe some info about me and the health room. Can you think of anything else that would be helpful?

We have little boxes of tissues that we give and also hand sanitizer.
Oh, that's a great idea! Thanks!

bandaids, antiseptic wipes, gauze, gloves, passes to the health office.... just a few of each to refresh their classroom first aid kits (high school)

I put together small "first-aid" kits for our teachers and include bandaids, cotton balls, 2x2 guaze pads, a few q-tips, calamine lotion, Next temp thermometers, gloves, and some cough drops.

Throw in a funsize Milky Way or Snickers Bar--they will love you for it!

My boss and I would also type up a memo to guide teachers on when to send students to health room. Kind of like a friendly reminder. Not every kid with a runny nose and cough need to go the health room during fall and winter season.
If a student and 3 of their friends are complaining of the same sx and are laughing and giggling in the hall, then maybe you should'nt send all of them to the healthroom at the same time. Some things are common sense but some teachers really don't know when a student needs to go to the health room or not. They send students for every little thing but then when a student does need to go to the health room and really is sick we don't see them.
