Hello future nurse students! I decided to start a thread since no one had made one yet and it’s a little early but that’s okay! I'm curious to see how the application pool is for this semester. Feel free to leave any questions, comments, and/or your impaction score.
I applies for this Fall 19 with 16 points 7 classes and a cumulative gpa of 3.46 and the cut off was 16 points 7 classes and a cumulative gpa of 3.50.
Now I already reapplied for Spring. After this semester is over I’m going in with 18 points with a Teas score of 85.3.
I got a denial letter with 15 pts, 7 classes n gpa of 3.76! I wonder what the gpa cut off was!
You can call the nursing department tomorrow and they will tell you what the GPA cut off was. I know when i didn’t get in last semester that’s what i did and they gave me the info.
sharmadi, I was in your exact shoes last semester, for whatever reason it wasn’t meant this time, have faith and don’t give up!! U will get it next time, u have an amazing teas score, give yourself credit, good luck to u!

Does anyone know if you have to take 7 classes at Goodwin to get into thw program? Most of my credits are transferred from capital. I have taken 4 classes so far including classes this semester. I can apply for the summer but not sure if i should take more clases then apply for next fall.
No you do not need 7 classes with 7 classes gives you 7 points for that section of the point system so since you will be eligible to apply for summer u will have 4 points for that section because you only took 4 classes at Goodwin. Keep in mind that they go by overall points, then amount if classes at Goodwin taken, then GPA. I hope this makes sense?!

You do not need to pee in front of anyone. They make you wash your hands in front of them and they lock your stuff up and then they tell you to pee and not flush the toilet or wash your hand until you come out. They sealed the specimen in front of me to show me it wasn’t tampered with. You do have to pee a certain amount or you’ll have to wait around to do another sample.
So I just got a call a spot opened up for the nursing program that was declined and I took it!! I'm excited but I they said orientation already happened does anyone have any info they would care to share?
