Goodwin College Nursing Program Spring 2020

Hello future nurse students! I decided to start a thread since no one had made one yet and it’s a little early but that’s okay! I'm curious to see how the application pool is for this semester. Feel free to leave any questions, comments, and/or your impaction score.

I applies for this Fall 19 with 16 points 7 classes and a cumulative gpa of 3.46 and the cut off was 16 points 7 classes and a cumulative gpa of 3.50.

Now I already reapplied for Spring. After this semester is over I’m going in with 18 points with a Teas score of 85.3.

Hello, nursing deadline this coming Monday, the anticipation till November is going to kill us! If anyone hears anything about how many people applied, point limit, GPA, please post!! I will do the same ☺️

Sounds good will do! The wait should be in the teen like 14-17th of October if they are on time. For Fall 2019 we submitted scores around the end of May and heard back in the teens of June 13th-15th. So we shall see. ?

Really?! That’s better then November, when I called the nursing dept a month ago, they said November so mid October would be much better! I’d like to start applying to other schools if declined, I don’t want to take that TEAS again, other schools put a lighter emphasis on the score! Still hoping we get in ????

I took my Teas yesturday I needed 79.8 and I only received a 78 so I only have 14 points ....???...I submitted my score anyways but I know I wont get it. It sucks when you do not have a previous degree My gpa is a 3.76 and I took all 7 classes at Goodwin ughhh. I'm going to take it again for next semester!

That’s a really high teas test score! I only got a 70, have a GPA of 3.79, I do have a bachelors; if I didn’t have the bachelors i wouldn’t be able to get in, that teas is so hard!!! I give u a lot of credit I still only have 16 points, prayers for everyone here ??????

I would still apply to other schools regardless plus it won’t hurt you. How many points do you have now? If you score well for the Teas you do not have to take it over you can just transfer for it to other schools.

Hello Sharmadi,

78% for your Teas is a great score. Every semester to get in to the program changes so you never know what can happen. And if you don’t get in for Spring 2020 semester you can definitely get into summer if you keep your gpa up and score a little higher on your Teas. You can do this!

I just seen your points now your at 16 points with a gpa of 3.79 you have a great chance last semester the last person was 16 points with a gpa of 3.50. Yes prayers for everyone and if it doesn’t happen this semester for some people we pray that they keep pushing and keep their heads up it’s going to happen! ????????

I'm going to try every semester I wont give up!! I'm going to take my Bachleor classes in spring semester and reaply for summer 2020. I have met girls that have taken the Teas like 4 times already!!! It just sucks when you miss something by 1.8 points. My biggest down fall on the Teas was english and language. What have you guys used to study for that part? I joined all the facebook pages and there is so many files to review but grammar and puncuation is not my strong point!

That’s the spirit! Never give up! I thought I’d make everyone aware, as I said I’d let those know if I hear anything new. I just called the nursing dept (wanted to make sure they had my application and score!) I tried to get anything out of them, I asked how many applied, they said, over 300 apply each semester and they take 64 students. Just figured I’d share! Continued prayers❤️??

I feel a lot of people apply that really dont know if they even qualify for Goodwins program . I have herd that people from other schools apply even though they dont have the points. So stressful! I hope the best for everyone though!! Also there are a lot of LPNs tht apply and I think they take 6 or 8 I was told.
