I use the CDC for current guidelines and also NIM for all sorts of information. :)

I think maybe NIM was a typo and the poster meant NIH? National Institutes of Health (NIH)
That's exactly what I meant; oops!! Clearly can't study and browse here at the same time.

MedScape is free... you just have to register. http://www.medscape.com
Suggest you also become very familiar with CINAHL usage... your school library should provide tutorials.

EBSCO owns CINAHL-- your school library may have a subscription and your librarian would be thrilled to help you learn how to use it. Bring three or four friends and ask the librarian to give you a little tutorial.
Remember, though, that online sites may or may not be appropriate resources for your care planning and are rarely considered acceptable sources for papers. The internet is not one-stop shopping for homework. Consider looking at nursing literature, not just websites.
Finally, here is a link to the very recent thread on evaluating websites.

Up To Date was by far the most useful resource for me. It's expensive to buy independently so see if your school or work has it. You can email yourself all the articles you'd like and then access them wherever you read your emails..

we're not allowed to reference websites for our care plans, so be wary of using them
