So after searching for a job for about two months, hearing many "We're not hiring new nurses.", going on numerous interviews, getting no responses, and overall losing hope, I FINALLY heard those words that I've dreamed about hearing for so long, "We'd like to hire you to our facility as our newest LPN." About passed out right there in the DON's office! Thanks to GOD first and foremost, for I truly believe he had a job in the works for me, I just had to practice a little patience. To those still looking, DO NOT give up hope, God has a plan for you, he just does it on his schedule!:heartbeat

Whoa! I've just decided to change careers and go in to nursing. I plan to become and RN. I thought there was a nursing SHORTAGE out there and that it wold be EASY to get a job. I live in Phoenix, AZ and see hundreds of ads for nurses. Am I mistaken?
Planning, that assumption is a myth, just look on this site, there are plenty of new eager nurses (including RN's) out there who have been looking for work for a while. Many facilities don't hire new nurses and competition for jobs is very stiff right now especially here in South Florida. Do not believe there's a shortage out there; it is simply not true.
