I am about to start my first year of nursing school in a few weeks. We have to have closed toe and closed back all white all leather shoes. I have a really high arch so nursemates don't work for me. Also, they asked us to stay away from athletic-looking shoes. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

I have high volume, high arch and high instep feet. I tried on many different shoes and finally chose the Adidas Smith Hardware IVs. All white, don't look like sneakers, are extremely comfortable and supportive. After 12 hours, my dogs are still happy.

I wore reeboks for my high archs. It was the only one I found 20 something years ago and they don't look like sneakers. I still wear them.

I have found Birkenstock to be the best. They make a white, all enclosed shoe. The thing about Birks is they come with a generic cork insole that molds to your foot with wear. It takes a couple of weeks to break them in, but after that, it's golden!!

I second this. My feet are actually sad when I take them off, even after a 14 hour + shift. I also found an Austrian brand, Think!, that are just as good or better than Birkies. They required zero break in time.

swedish wooden leather clogs---clogsonline, dalaclogs, sanita, clogwild etc. Will take 2 weeks wearing a few hours a day to breakin across top of foot but WELL worth it,.
