Thoughts, opinions, experiences on which hospitals/med centers are good and bad in the Dayton area (as far as working as a nurse goes.)
Thanks!
Well, I hope you find yourself a good job...it shouldn't be hard because there is a need.
I work at Southview Hospital, and have for 12 years, and it's part of the KMCN Network.
Grandview Hospital certainly has had it's problems, but what hospital hasn't? I believe it's location is the only thing that can't be changed.
I used to live in Dayton as a child. East side near University of Dayton. Boy was that a change when I moved to Southeastern Ohio. I remember crack deals on the corner and you didn't go over to the West side after dark. My brothers ex wife worked at Grandview. Yeah it is in a bad part of town. She enjoyed it overall, but there are places where I wouldn't go in Dayton during the day either.

If you're considering living in Dayton while working at GSH check out some of the areas south of Dayton such as Kettering, Beavercreek, Centerville, Miamisburg. I live in Kettering an it's a great area and not too far from anywhere downtown Dayton.
