Finally some good news for me to share! I've been on my unit for 1 year and my manager approached me and said there would be an opening soon for a charge nurse position and nurse educator for the unit and wanted me to take it. When I said yes, she hugged me and was really excited for me...kind of gave me a boost in my confidence because I've only been an RN for 2 years.
I'm excited but nervous, more so for the educator position because I know that will often be more work than charge. But I'm excited! Just thought I'd share :)
