Good idea to take micro and anatomy together?

Hi, I am signing up for fall semester and I want to take micro and anatomy together. Is there anyone who took them at the same time and if you have how did you like it? Also would you recommend it?

Thank you

I took Micro and A&P II together at the same time and it wasn't that horrible. Just make sure that you have enough study time because you will need a lot of it. Plus side is you take out two science courses in one semester. =)

I did, I had to go full time to receive student loans. I prefered Micro with A&P because it was more memorizing than something like english that required more time in paper writing. If you are pretty decent with memorizing I'd suggest it to knock them both out.

No!!! I would not suggest it! That's two lectures and two labs!

I took both classes during the same semester. Make sure you give yourself enough study time :) It's not impossible :)

My local community college actually teaches it all together in one 2 semester course.

It sucked. LOL

That depends.....did you take anatomy in high school? If so, and you are already familiar with anatomy, you have an advantage and can probably handle them both at the same time.

On the other hand, how much of the prereq courses do you want to retain? Both courses lay a foundation for nursing and if you want to have a good, solid foundation, I would suggest taking one science course at a time in order to retain the material and giving you a better chance at excelling in the nursing program.

Good luck!

I am taking Chemistry and Anatomy this summer. My school does not recomend taking 2 science classes at the same time, but I need to get them done and over with so I can get on the waiting list for the program. These 2 classes are the only ones I am taking this summer. Good luck!

Please do no take them together if you really want to.get into nursing school

Hmmm...as some posters mentioned it is doable. Just make sure you become efficient with time management in order to successfully study for both classes. I am currently finishing up my semester having taken both while, might I add, starting a brand new job at a hospital. I did well in both courses. Taking them together will hopefully allow you to gain better understanding of how and why diseases occur in certain systems; moreover, you will better understand what is going on within the body as a whole in order to gauge a proper treatment.

I am finishing up taking both APII and Micro this semester, and working full time about 50 hours/week. It was no cake walk, I can tell you that. If you are very good with your time, it can be done. I got an A- in APII and have my Micro final tomorrow evening...I expect an A- as well if all goes well. "Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do" comes to mind.....and this was what my particular situation required. Good luck to you!

I took micro and chem together and then a & p II. I wish I would have completed a & p II before micro because there are things that are discussed in A & p II that would have helped me with micro.
