Golden West College Fall 2020

Hello!

I made this thread for those of us who will be applying to Golden West College's Fall 2020 nursing program. If you are applying, can you please share your experience as well as how many points you are applying with?

I will be applying with 83 points!

Hey guys,

I was denied. Of course I kinda knew based off of the discussion board. This was my third time applying with 55 points. Definitely a huge improvement from my first application. I wonder what the maximum amount of applications I can send in is. I won't stop applying and improving my points until I get in.

yes!! Don't give up! Keep applying! Look at where your weakest points are and improve them if you can! I retook all my the science prerequisites to try to get all A's. I appreciate Golden West because they look at my retake grades. So does Long Beach CC. LBCC is also nice because they take people from varying GPA's and they also take into account how many times you applied into their program. So, if you keep applying, you will eventually get in. Cypress CC will also put anyone who qualifies on their waiting list, so eventually everyone gets in. It may take 2-4 years but they do end up accepting everyone. Good luck to you!

theres no # for alternate pool.. only accepted/alternate #/alternate pool. No chance to get accepted in alternate pool.

I’m not sure if GWC has an alternate “pool” but I know they have alternate numbers. Some people have their number listed and if people cancel then that number gets bumped up. I wanted to see the chances of someone that’s #10 getting in for example. My friend last year was number 15 and got accepted but IDK what’s changed.
