Hello!
I made this thread for those of us who will be applying to Golden West College's Fall 2020 nursing program. If you are applying, can you please share your experience as well as how many points you are applying with?
I will be applying with 83 points!

Some people have their number listed and if people cancel then that number gets bumped up. I wanted to see the chances of someone that’s #10 getting in for example. My friend last year was number 15 and got accepted but IDK what’s changed.
Yeah gwc has alternate pool, alternate #, and accepted.
CONGRATS to all of you who are getting accepted! ?
Don't forget to join the facebook group so we can keep in touch.

I think you may have miss calculated your points because I was Alt #11 and I had 78 points! My friend has 77 points and she doesn’t even have an alternate number

Oh maybe I actually had 78 because I applied with 76 points and was in the process of taking pharmacology during the Spring semester
Congratulations to all who have been accepted into the program. I'm a Spring 2020 graduate and RN. It is a great program. I'm not sure how your classes/clinicals will take place with online instruction. IMHO it is crucial to be in class, lab, and clinical.
For those of you who have been accepted I have several books I'm willing to donate. ATI, A&P, and various nursing texts. None are recent editions but they may be helpful in some way.
Depending on what uniforms are going to be required I also have two sets of LG male scrubs and XL lab coat I'd make available much less than the cost of a new set...still get new ones though.
Good luck, work hard, be the best nurse you can during school and after. It's not easy but it is worth it.
