Golden West College ADN Spring 2022

Published

Hey everyone,

I'm starting this thread so we can support each other through the next round of applications. It's my 3rd time applying and I now have 81 points. I think it could go either way for me at GWC, but I do feel like I'm getting in somewhere no matter what. Good luck!

There are two ways to create a special area for your cohort, that are Terms-of-Service approved.

One is to create a facebook page.  This link is allowed to be posted.

The other is to create a "Club" within the site, by clicking on the Breakroom link (upper left-hand corner, in the yellow bar) and in the green area, click Start a Breakroom Club.

Any other references or links posted are not TOS-approved, and will be removed. Continued posting may result in official warnings and other actions against your account.

Oops, sorry! ?

Don't know if it helps or hurts, but Santa Ana sent out their Admissions emails on Nov 16th. Cypress will most likely be sending out theirs sometime next week (it is supposed to be before Dec 1st). There also appears to be some people dropping out of the Saddleback program according to the forum on here. That might shake loose some slots here at GWC depending on program preference.

Really hoping that a few more people get admitted, regardless of where they applied or where they prefer to go. I got rejection at Saddleback, but got in here. I'm not going to lie, due to the early application period I almost didn't apply to GWC because I didn't think I had boosted my points enough for it to be worth it. For those still looking to get in: hang in there and I hope you get admitted soon.

Hi! Patient alternate here ?

Just wondering if any more alternates have been offered admission. Looks like on this forum the latest one is #7 but now that we’ve heard back from most of the schools I wanted to see if there’s any updates.

Congrats to all those who have gotten in and thanks to those of you who have offered encouragement to us who are still waiting!

Thank you, hopefully you get in soon! Out of that, you are correct #7 is the current number. That said we are only 24% of those who got accepted, so it is possible that the current waitlist number is lower than #7. Not may be great news, but at least it gives you a bit more context and - hopefully - a better chance.

Just got my acceptance! I was alternate #11 to give everyone else on the list an idea of where they may be. Can’t wait to meet everyone! ?

Congratulations!! ?

I'm in the middle of setting up a facebook page for our Cohort. Once I'm done and the rest of our group gives the go-ahead, I will post the link here.

Hi guys! For those who are in the process of Complio, how long did it take for your form to be approved?

Mine was usually 3 business days after I submitted in a form for any of the categories (titers, CPR, etc). The others varied. My background was like 4 and my drug test was 2.

I haven't been approved for my physical examination in 4 days. I'm a little concerned, because our due date for our forms is on the 9th.
