Golden West College ADN Spring 2022

Published

Hey everyone,

I'm starting this thread so we can support each other through the next round of applications. It's my 3rd time applying and I now have 81 points. I think it could go either way for me at GWC, but I do feel like I'm getting in somewhere no matter what. Good luck!

Were you automatically accepted or were you on the alternate list first?

Alternate list started at 79 points. My friend was alternate #14 for this same semester and got in. I think she had around 74

Did anyone go to coastline College and did you have to send your official transcripts to Golden West College for the RN program?

Did anyone go to coastline college and did you have to send your official transcripts to Golden West College for the RN program? Since coastline college is part of Golden West College sort of.

I attended Coastline and OCC and didn't have to send official transcripts since GWC, CCC, and OCC are all sister colleges to one another. The only transcripts I had to send were for colleges that aren't part of the Coastline Community colleges, ex: Saddleback or a CSU.

Hope that helps,

Hi!

I went to all 3 colleges: Coastline/OCC/GWC. For applying, from what I remember I just sent my unofficial transcripts from all 3 colleges if they wanted transcripts at all. For colleges in the same district they might not even need the transcripts because you’re in the same system; just follow the instructions ? Once you get admitted to the program, I did not send official transcripts. So I never sent any official transcripts for OCC/Coastline/GWC. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions!

Thank you for replying.

Did anyone take pharmacology at Chaffey College? Or Microbiology at Cal poly Pomona?

Does Golden West RN program only accept the first attempt TEAS score even if you pass? Or can you use your second score if you passed the first time?
