Going rate for New grad in S. Cali (OC)?

Published

Hi everyone,

I would like to know what is the expected hourly rate for a new grad, specifically in Orange County where I expect to work. I have looked at many hospitals in the area website, but they do not post an expected salary. I'm just curious about what is being offered and if its competitive.

Thanks

No, I meant for the ones without hospital experience that doesn't work on the inside, but have been LVNs for a while doing other stuff..I was just curious. Due to the lack of responses I guess there aren't that many prior lvns looking at this thread.lol

Tinker, I was an LVN but worked mostly clinics, long term care, etc. And it did really help me get a job when I became an RN. But that was a year ago. Now in California no one is hiring.

There was one other girl in my "group" who was also an LVN with home health experience. They liked hiring us because they knew we were at least comfortable with patients, basic skills, etc.
